Gino Torretta
Touchdown Radio Founder & Color Analyst

Gino Torretta was the most celebrated football player in the University of Miami and NCAA history. A 1991 graduate with a degree in Business Management, Torretta won both athletic and academic awards during his prolific career as a Hurricane.

 

He became only the second player in Hurricane history to win the coveted Heisman Trophy Award as the nation's top collegiate football player. He was also honored as the Walter Camp Football Foundation's Player of the Year. The Associated Press, Kodak, Walter Camp and The Football News named Torretta first-team All-American. He also won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, The Maxwell Award and the Davey O'Brien national quarterback awards.

He was tapped into Iron Arrow, as one of the University's best ambassadors.

 

He has also been inducted into the Orange Bowl Hall of Fame and the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame. He is also a past President of the National University of Miami Alumni Association, and a current member of the Orange Bowl Committee. He has also been inducted into the University of Miami's Ring of Honor and the College Football Hall of Fame.

Originally from Pinole, California, Gino and his wife Bernadette reside in Miami. In 2005 he founded Touchdown Radio, nationally broadcasting a college football game of the week on a terrestrial network of stations as well as SiriusXM and Audacy. He is also the Senior Vice President of GAMCO Investors, where he has worked since 2004.

Brett Dolan
Play-by-Play Announcer

Brett Dolan returns for his 14th season of Touchdown Radio play-by-play action.

Along with his Touchdown Radio work, Dolan also provides play-by-play for college sports and Major League Baseball on ESPN. Prior to joining Touchdown Radio, Dolan was the primary radio play-by-play voice of the Houston Astros from 2006-2012. Since 2012, he has served as a studio host and analyst for Astros broadcasts on AT&T Sportsnet Southwest. The University of Iowa graduate started his play-by-play experience with Minor League Baseball's Beloit Snappers for four seasons, followed by two seasons with the Iowa Cubs and six seasons as the voice of the Tucson Sidewinders.

Dolan is currently the Senior Broadcast Manager for On-Air Talent and Content at the University of Arkansas.

The first play-by-play voice of Touchdown Radio, Frank Frangie, returns to Touchdown Radio for select games in 2023.

 

The Jacksonville native is in his 35th season of broadcasting, currently hosting afternoon drive at Jacksonville's 1010 XL/92.5 FM, a position he has held since the station's inception in 2007. When the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars announced they were moving their flagship relationship to WJXL in 2014, Frangie joined the team's broadcast crew and has since served as the radio play-by-play voice of the team.

 

Prior to his many duties in Jacksonville, Frangie was a prominent voice on the Florida Gators radio network, serving as football pregame host from 1996-98, as well as the primary play-by-play voice for UF baseball and women's basketball.

Roxy Bernstein

Roxy Bernstein returns to Touchdown Radio for select games in 2023.

 

The San Francisco native is in his 27th season of broadcasting for college and professional teams, an impressive tenure that started as the voice of the Cal Golden Bears men's basketball team. Among his many broadcast eperiences, Bernstein has called college basketball and football games for Cal, as well as Major League Baseball games with the Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, San Francisco Giants, and Oakland Athletics. In addition to national broadcasts on Touchdown Radio, Bernstein has been featured in national broadcasts for Westwood One, ESPN, NHL Radio, and the Pac-12 Network.

​

Bernstein resides in San Francisco as he continues to call games for the Athletics while also hosting sports talk shows for SiriusXM and 95.7 The Game.
